  • I've been a faithful Mac user (and iPad, iPod, iPhone, Macbook, etc.) for years. I rarely have a big complaint but lately I'm finding just how much Apple lags behind Windows with certain features, such as the add-ins that are available through programs like OneNote.
  • Does OneNote works fine in your IPhone? The issue is only with your watch? If you have problem with both, I suggest you, to remove app cache from your iPhone, then uninstall OneNote from both, re-boot your iPhone, then install last version from Apple Store in the iPhone and Apple watch, then sign in with your Office account and sync.
  • Select email addresses you want to use for saving OneNote emails. Set up email to OneNote Choose your destination Choose the default notebook and section where your emails will be saved. Email content Send an email to me@onenote.com to save it directly in OneNote. You can access the emails you saved in OneNote from any of your devices.

The Office apps available from the Mac App Store provide the latest Current Channel version of Office on the Mac. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook require an Office 365 (or Microsoft 365) subscription to activate. OneNote and OneDrive do not require a subscription, but some premium features may require a subscription. I have rebooted in safe mode and still no luck. I have reinstalled OneNote direct from MS (not the Apple Store). When I access OneNote via the browser, I can see the class notebook tab. When I open in OneNote app, this does not appear. In the app, when I sign out of my account, the tab appears and when I sign in again, it goes.

Notes

Perhaps it was not installed completely or correctly? You can install OneNote from the App Store for free. You will also need a Microsoft account and you can only save and load OneNote files from the cloud (no local storage) like OneDrive or a SharePoint server.


Onenote Vs Apple Notes

There are a fair number of poor ratings on App Store for the Mac version of OneNote (about 4% of all reviews). Not a complete or good port of the Windows program on macOS it seems. But that's just my opinion.


I used to use OneNote on a Windows computer about 15 years ago and liked it, but without local storage of OneNote files, it isn't practical without a constant internet connection.
